Malathi Renati

Malathi Renati heads the Policy School at The Takshashila Institution, overseeing programme management for flagship offerings like the PGP in Public Policy, GCPP, Capsule Courses, and Executive Programmes.

A former national-level athlete in hockey and baseball, she leads popular Sports Capsule courses—such as Building a Sporting Nation and Transforming Women's Sport in India—dissecting India's sports ecosystem through Samaaj, Sarkaar, and Bazaar lenses. She writes in leading newspapers and delivers her insights across sports, ecology, and community on Takshashila’s All Things Policy podcast.

A PMP-certified expert with nearly 25 years in project management, strategy, and process optimization, Malathi has lived and worked across the US, Canada, and India. She delivered IT projects for clients across the Nordics and the Americas for over 20 years before pivoting to nonprofit impact. Holding a Master’s degrees in Information Systems Security from Concordia University, Montreal, and Computer Science from the University of Mysore, she channels her global expertise into policy education and community initiatives.

Her passion extends to animal welfare and eldercare policy solutions, blending corporate rigor with holistic vision.
